Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Coordinator: Prof. Marco Francone

Host: Prof. dr. Vladka Salapura, assist. Dr. Slavica Ponorac

Topic: Cardiac Imaging

Learning objectives:

  • Apply a structured step-by-step approach to reading Cardiac CT scans, with attention to stenosis assessment, plaque characterization, and evaluation of stents and bypass grafts.
  • Understand the principles and clinical applications of functional Cardiac CT.
  • Recognize the role of cardiac CT and MR in identifying ischemic causes beyond obstructive CAD, including MINOCA and other forms of non-occlusive ischemia.
  • Master the differential diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathies and hypertensive or athletic remodelling using advanced imaging criteria.
  • Evaluate modern cardiac imaging approaches to valvular heart disease, integrating CT and MR in pre-operative planning and quantification.
